This is the way I deal with approaching something that I can't technically play, but have to. It's how I tackle it, and what I prioritize to make sure that I get the job done in the best way possible :-)

Touring is such great fun, but there's so much more to it than just jumping on a bus and playing shows every night.
These are some of the common problems and solutions to every day touring. It's the things that not a lot of people talk about, and it surely isn't what you'd tell people back home, because unless they're in this world, they may just think it's all fun and partying!

Welcome to A Drummer's Guide To... podcast!
Let me introduce myself, my name is Emily Dolan Davies, and I am a professional drummer. I've been touring, recording and generally hitting things (hopefully) in time since 1999. I wanted to start a series sharing my experience of being in the music industry, and how I got to this point. This is the podcast I wish existed when I was a kid and didn't know where to turn for direction, support and ideas... so here I am! :-)
